The Brownsville Public Utilities Board will release its 2017 Drinking Water Quality Report today, and the public is invited to attend.

The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Board Room at the BPUB Administration Building.

The Drinking Water Quality Report, also known as the Consumer Confidence Report, is an annual report mandated by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality that provides consumers information about the quality of the water that comes out of their taps.

The report includes data on many different things, including the sources of water, educational health information as well as other items found in the water. All drinking water, including bottled water, can contain some measure of other items.
