Times set for Scorpions' playoff games
Game times have been set for the NAIA opening-round doubleheader Saturday at REK Center Field.
UTB-TSC will play host Southern Nazarene University (Okla.) at 3 p.m. in a women's game, while the Scorpions will host Biola University (Calif.) at 6 p.m. in a men's game. Winners advance to the site of the finals, which will have 16 teams in each bracket.
The NAIA women's soccer national championship is Nov. 30 through Dec. 5 in Decatur, Ala., and the NAIA men's soccer national championship Nov. 30 trhough Dec. 5 in Fresno, Calif.
UTB-TSC (11-4-2) is unseeded in the women's bracket, while SNU (16-3-1) is the 16th seed. The winner plays the winner of the game between top-seeded Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) (17-2-2) and unseeded Missouri Baptist University (12-7-1) on Monday, Nov. 30, in a second-round game in Decatur, Ala.
In the men's bracket, UTB-TSC (17-0-1) is the sixth seeded, while Biola (13-4-2) is unseeded. The winner plays the winner of the game between 11th-seeded Science and Arts (Okla.) (17-1-1) and Hastings (Neb.) (15-4-2) on Tuesday, Dec. 1, in a second-round game in Fresno, Calif.
