UTB-TSC: Scorpions take part in UMHB Spring Invitational
The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College women's golf team returns to action Monday in the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Spring Invitational Tournament at the Wildflower Country Club in Temple.
Teams will play 18 rounds each day Monday and Tuesday.
UTB-TSC has played in two spring tournaments, placing first among three teams at the Jack Brown Memorial Tournament hosted by Texas A&M International on Feb. 15, and placing third among seven teams at the Sen. Eddie Lucio Intercollegiate Tournament on Feb. 21 at Laguna Vista.
Participating for the Scorpions will be Andrea Cadriel, Elizabeth Garza, Krystal Garza, Eneida Alonso and Pamela Lopez.
Elizabeth Garza leads the team in scoring average in 2010-11 with 86.63 in eight rounds, followed by Krystal Garza with 89.83 in six rounds and Cadriel with 94.00 in eight rounds.
