Historic Brownsville Open Diary: Looking back at the pro-am
Hello, everyone!
(Wednesday) was an eventful day. I played in the pro-am for the Historic Brownsville Open with a few locals. Just so happened I got paired up with Nic Barrera, the director of advertising for the Herald.
We also played with his brother Zeke, and a few of his friends, Alex Cantu and Eric Fritz, who work for the Customs & Border Patrol. We had a great time, and I promise they didn’t pay me to say that!
Thank you to Chick-Fil-A for sponsoring our food for the pro-am. The weather was fantastic, with just enough wind to keep it interesting.
This week will definitely be a true test of patience for everyone. It seems every day the wind has gotten a little bit stronger. I love being in Texas, if I haven’t mentioned it before, because the people here are so friendly. I think I have met someone new from Brownsville every day.
I hope everyone comes out to cheer us on (today) as we start our first round (this) morning. Hope to see everyone out at Rancho Viejo.
