RGV Capsules: Scorpions' five-game World Series begins Monday
The draft has taken place, and the rosters are set for the traditional Scorpions baseball 2011 Fall World Series starting Monday at Scorpion Field.
Baseball fans will have the rare chance to watch baseball in late November and early December. Five games will be held throughout the week.
The intrasquad scrimmage games are coached by seniors on each team, who drafted players for the Orange and Navy squads. The games are the final opportunity for the Scorpions players to impress coach Bryan Aughney and assistant coach Wade Pope.
The games will be played, regardless of winner, following this schedule: Game 1, 3 p.m. Monday; Game 2, 3 p.m. Wednesday; Games 3 and 4, 3 and 6 p.m. Dec. 2; and Game 5 at 11 a.m. Dec. 3.
