Bravos fall again on road

FRISCO - The road weary Rio Grande Valley Bravos suffered their second straight loss as they fell to Dallas-Fort Worth 3-1 on Saturday night at Pizza Hut Park at Frisco.

With the win, Dallas-Fort Worth regains the top spot in the United Soccer League Mid-South Division with 17 points and a 5-2-2 record. As for the Bravos, they fall to 2-4-3 and have a total of nine points.

Dallas-Fort Worth wasted no time getting on the board as Stephan Ambrose scoredat the 7-minute mark of the first half.

The Bravos had a golden opportunity to tie the game as Edgar Acuna sought to punch it in from the right side of the field, but Tornados goalie Maros Vallo made an outstanding save.

RGV goalie Juan Gamboa made a huge stop at the 55-minute mark, denying Tornados midfielder Stephen Shirly on a penalty kick.

Kevin White scored the Tornados' second goal of the evening from the right side of the goal at the 69-minute mark. Three minutes later, Dallas-Fort Worth's Tuan Doan punched it in from the right side with an assist by Tony Guillen.
