Looking for a few good volunteers
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Gladys Porter Zoo is looking for a few good volunteers. The Docent Council is a group of trained community members and Winter Texans, who spend their time helping visitors, care for animals, conduct tours and help raise money for the zoo.
The zoo is in need of more volunteers for the agency, which has been in existence for 36 years and given thousands of dollars and hours to the zoo.
Training begins Feb. 17 and runs through the end of March. Among the classes volunteers will take part in include the study of primates and reptiles.
For more information call Sergio at (956) 548-9453 or email him at sergio@gpz.org.
