Woman kidnapped at gunpoint in McAllen
McALLEN -- A woman was abducted at gunpoint in a busy intersection Tuesday afternoon, McAllen police officials said.
The woman was driving a black Dodge Intrepid when a suspect apparently shot into the car and pulled her into another vehicle near the intersection of Pecan Boulevard and Bentsen Road.
Although the driver's seat window of the vehicle was shattered, police said there was no indication that the woman was injured.
Police are searching for a gold sports utility vehicle the suspect may have been driving.
It's believed the vehicle could be headed toward the Brownsville area.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the McAllen police department at (956) 687-TIPS.
