HARLINGEN - A woman was chased by a truck in the Sun Valley Mall parking lot before taking refuge behind a post earlier this week, a police report said.

Police said the suspected driver is the wife of the victim's boyfriend.

The victim told police that she had dropped her car off at the mall where her boyfriend picked her up on Tuesday, according to the police report.

The victim said her boyfriend's wife spotted the couple in the boyfriend's car and began following them in a truck, according to the report.

According to the police report, the boyfriend's wife attempted to hit the victim with the truck after the victim's boyfriend dropped her off behind the mall.

When the victim took cover behind the post, her boyfriend's wife slammed on the brakes and demanded that the victim get into the truck, the report said.

Police said that the victim refused to get into the truck before running through the back door of the mall.
