2007 Porter grad completes naval training

Navy Reserve Seaman Recruit Norma S. Mendiola recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Greak lakes, Ill.
During the eight-week program, Mendiola completed a variety of training which included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs. An emphasis was also placed on physical fitness.
Mendiola is the daughter of Sylvia Mendiola of Brownsville and a 2007 graduate of Porter High School.
