Porter grad completes Air Force basic training

Air Force Airman 1st Class Moises Torres Jr., of Brownsville, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. During the six weeks of training, Torres studied the Air Force mission, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations. Torres also earned credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Torres is a 2007 graduate of Porter High School and the son of Maria Torres and stepson of George Solis of Brownsville.
