UTB-TSC president to receive distinguished alumnus award
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Dr. Juliet V. GarcÃa, president of The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College, will be recognized by the Texas Exes at their Distinguished Alumnus Awards Friday, September 28.
The award, created in 1958 by the Texas Exes, recognizes annually up to six graduates or former students of The University of Texas at Austin who have distinguished themselves professionally and through service to the university.
The Distinguished Alumnus Award is the highest award given by the Texas Exes.
GarcÃa received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The University of Houston and was awarded a doctorate in communications from The University of Texas at Austin in 1976.
