South Texas Rehabilitation introduces new technology to the Valley
The South Texas Rehabilitation Hospital will hold a free seminar and screening today to teach patients about new treatment options for a variety of medical problems.
Patients who suffered a stroke, brain injury, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy or spinal cord injury can benefit from the NESS H200 Hand Rehabilitation System and the NESS L300 Foot Drop System allowing them to regain muscle control, the hospital said.
STRH also says it is the first and only rehabilitation hospital in the Rio Grande Valley to offer this technology.
"We are excited to be among a select group of facilities in the country to offer these treatment systems," said Jessie Eason, CEO of the hospital. "The NESS H200 and NESS L300 accelerate and complement traditional therapy. By adopting the NESS H200 and NESS L300 systems as standards of care, we hope to maximize patient rehabilitation."
STRH will hold today’s seminars will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 425 E. Alton Gloor Blvd. For more information, call (956) 544-6010.
