Brownsville police are investigating an aggravated robbery of a Stripes convenience store located at 3324 International Blvd.

Authorities received a 911 call on Sunday at 3:29 a.m. from Jose Gonzalez, a store clerk who said he had been held at knifepoint while an unknown suspect made off with $80, a police report stated.

Authorities are on the lookout for a white male in his 20's with brown hair and a goatee. The clerk describe the suspect as being as being 5-foot-6-inches tall and weighing around 180 pounds.

The report stated that the robber, wearing a green jacket and blue jeans, walked into the store and demanded money from the Gonzalez. The suspect then pulled out a knife and walked around the counter demanding money once more.

According to Gonzalez' testimony, he froze in panic and was forced to open the night safety deposit box from where the suspect took $80 and ran off.

Gonzalez reported having seen the suspect previously and even arguing with him as he is suspected of being involved in previous "beer runs."
