City to open second shelter at Pace High School
The City of Brownsville has announced plans to open a second shelter at Pace High School later this afternoon.
The school will open its doors to residences seeking shelter at 5:30 p.m. Pace High School is located on El Paso Road and Los Ebanos Boulevard.
People are encouraged to take some form of identification to register upon entering the facility and must follow the directions of the designated administrator in charge.
Individuals staying in the shelter are encouraged to bring their own bedding and linen along with any medication they may be taking.
They are also encouraged to bring first aid kits, books, magazines, toys, and radios. Non-perishable food and snacks and plenty of bottled water are also encouraged to be brought.
No alcohol, tobacco products, candles and weapons of any kind will be permitted.
