Comments 0 | Recommend 0
The Mexican consulate will have a mobile unit at Port Isabel on Saturday as part of its "Mobile Consulate" program to provide outreach to the community.
The Brownsville consulate’s office, under Consul General Victor Manuel Treviño Escudero, announced that the mobile unit will be stationed at Derry Elementary School, 1702 2nd St., from 9 a.m. through 3 p.m. to assist people who cannot attend to their consular needs during the workweek.
Identification cards and passports will be issued. In order to expedite the process, members of the public are reminded that they should present original passports and identification cards.
The issuance of identification cards require proof of address and for a passport, three recent color-photographs — without wearing eyeglasses, with a white background and passport size — are required.
