Traci Rhode gives up appeal to murder conviction
The Thirteenth Court of Appeals today dismissed the appeal of Traci Rhode, found guilty in 2007 of murdering her husband.
This followed Rhode's decision last month to file a motion to dismiss the appeal, the public record shows.
A jury in the 107th District Court found her guilty of shooting her husband Scott in October 2003. She has maintained her innocense, claiming that he shot himself.
She was given a 10-year probated sentence, Herald archives show. Her attorney Larry Warner could not be immediately reached for comment.
