Four sought in connection with stabbings
Brownsville police are looking for four suspects who were involved in the stabbing of two men at Waterside Apartments on Boca Chica Boulevard, police said.
One of the suspects was wearing a devil's mask and another was described as fair skinned, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and wearing an orange cap, unbuttoned plaid shirt and a white T-shirt underneath, police Spokesman Jimmy Manrrique said. Descriptions of the other men were not available. They were last seen in a gray Chevrolet Malibu driving down Central Avenue.
Police responded to the apartments at 4200 Boca Chica Boulevard on Monday at approximately 11:50 p.m. in reference to a fight. While en route to the apartments, police received another call from a clerk at a nearby Stripes convenience store on Billy Mitchell Boulevard, informing officers that a man had been stabbed in the abdomen and needed help.
According to police reports, the four men entered the apartment with the intention to rob the occupants, police said. Among three men inside the apartment was Anthony Rojas, 22, who jumped from the second floor balcony and sought help.
Frank Templeton, 25, was stabbed in the abdomen and was in serious condition Wednesday at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville.
Alex Miranda, 23, was sent to Valley Regional Medical Center was stabbed in the chest area. He was released from the hospital on Tuesday.
The stabbings are believed to be drug related, Manrrique said.
The apartment was found to contain more than $15,000 and about $450 worth of cocaine, police said.
