Aug/13 bus. Antonio's comes
to Amigoland
#Beginning this week, Amigoland Mall will have a new restaurant serving some
of the public's favorite dishes -- traditional Mexican food.
Antonio's Cafeteria will hold its ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday, August
15, from 5 until 8 p.m. at its newest location in Amigoland Mall, where
Wyatt's Cafeteria used to be. Local and state political dignitaries will
attend.
The establishment is the third of its kind for owners Jose Campos Jr. and
Zeyla Z. Campos. The couple currently operates two other restaurants at
Strawberry Square in Brownsville and E. Tyler St. in Harlingen.
"Our success has been because of the service and quality that we strive to
maintain," Jose Campos said. "We are very excited about our newest
restaurant at the Amigoland Mall."
Antonio's Mexican Village originally opened in 1983 in a small building in
Brownsville. The Campos family now employs about 100 workers in two locations.
