#Porter and Hanna won while Pace lost matches Friday at the Mission Volleyball
Tournament.
The Cowboys (3-5) defeated Harlingen South 15-10, 15-9 in a guaranteed match.
Porter fell into the guaranteed match after dropping matches to Edinburg and
La Joya Thursday.
The Vikings (2-4), who fell to Pharr-San Juan-North Thursday, lost a tough
match Friday in the consolation bracket to Laredo Cigarroa 13-15, 15-11,
13-15. Pace will play San Benito in a guaranteed match at 10:30 p.m. today.
Hanna will play in the fourth-

place semifinals at noon today against the winner of today's 10:30 a.m.
matchup between Laredo Nixon and McAllen High.
The Eagles (4-3) lost 5-15, 0-15 to McAllen Memorial in the second round
Thursday after receiving a first-round bye, but beat Edinburg 12-15, 15-3,
15-8 Friday.
Los Fresnos (2-2) and Port Isabel (4-0) will compete today in the Mercedes
Tournament. The Tarpons will play Kingsville at 11:30 a.m. and the Falcons
will play La Feria at 9:30 a.m.
