Eva Longoria Parker to make appearance at FESTIBA at UTPA
EDINBURG - Actress Eva Longoria Parker is expected to make a guest appearance at the University of Texas-Pan American's festival celebrating the arts in two weeks.
Parker, a native of Corpus Christi and who is best known for her role as Gabrielle Solis, is expected to be at the Festival of International Books and Arts' community day Saturday, March 27, according to the university.
This year's festival will happen March 22-27.
In its fifth year, FESTIBA is put on by the university to promote literacy by increasing people’s interest in reading, especially in young children.
The six-day event is also about celebrating the arts and humanities within South Texas by engaging the community through poetry, drama, lectures, artistic exhibits and presentations in dance, theatre film, musical concerts, Mariachi workshops and much more, according to the university.
