Ybarra Rios ousted by Lozano

State Representative Tara Ybarra Rios was handly defeated in her bid for re-election by J.M. Lozano.
The incumbent representative, whose area reaches from South Padre Island to Rio Hondo and beyond, is a local dentist.
Lozano, a businessman, garnered 57% of the votes compared to Ybarra Rios 43% of the ballots.
When all the votes were counted Lozano had 8,855 to Ybarra Rios 6,708 votes.
