Looking for a Ash Wednesday service? Here's where some are taking place

Churches, in the Catholic Diocese of Brownsville, will be celebrating Ash Wednesday services around the Rio Grande Valley.

Here is a list where some of the Ash Wednesday services will be held in Brownsville:

UTB Gran Salon on the UT-Brownsville campus – Noon Mass to be given by Bishop Daniel E. Flores

Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 1055 Military Road – 6:30 a.m. Mass (S), 8 a.m. Mass (E), noon Ashes, 5 p.m. Ashes and 7 p.m. Ashes

Mary Mother of the Church, 1914 Barnard Road – 6:30 a.m. Mass (E), 8:30 a.m. Schoo Mass (E), 12:05 p.m. Ashes (B), 6 p.m. Mass (S) and 8 p.m. Mass (E).

St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 2800 Rockwell – 6:30 a.m. Mass (S), 8:30 a.m. Mass (E), 10 a.m. Ashes only, noon Mass (E), 5 p.m. Ashes only, 7 p.m. Mass (S).

Our Lady of Guadalupe Church,  1200 Lincoln Street – 8 a.m. (S), noon (S) and 7 p.m. (S).


Note: (E) means Mass will be in English. (S) means Mass will be in Spanish.
