Tipton Hyundai is going big for the Saturday, Feb. 23, grand opening of its new dealership on Morrison Road across from Target.
The all-day event will feature a live band, Grupo Costumbre, from 3-6 p.m.
The grand opening, which is free and open to the public, will also feature zoo animals from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. courtesy of the Gladys Porter ZOOMobile. From 1 to 3 p.m. professional Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders will be signing autographs and posing for photos.
Dora the Explorer and Boots, stars of children’s fiction, will also be on hand. Members of the public will be able to register for gas and grocery gift cards, televisions, bikes and scooters, barbecue pits, computers, zoo passes and other giveaways.
Tipton Auto Group acquired the Hyundai franchise from Don Johnson Motors last May and broke ground on the Morrison Road dealership during the summer. The new complex sits on 2.5 acres and features a 6,500-square-foot showroom and 5,500 square feet of service space.
Nick Tipton, son of owner Jim Tipton, serves as general manager of the new dealership.
