Hanna grad receives degree from St. Lawrence University
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Ariel R. Riesenman, of Brownsville, received a degree in biochemistry last month from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.
Riesenman, who graduated summa cum laude, was inducted into Omnicron Delta Kappa and presented the Beta Beta Beta Outstanding Senior Biology Majors Award. She also received departmental honors in biochemistry at St. Lawrence.
She graduated from Hanna High School.
Camarillo to help keep Texas beautiful
Brownsville City Commissioner Edward Camarillo has been selected to serve on the board of directors of the Keep Texas Beautiful Commission.
Camarillo will assume his duties later this month during the annual Keep Texas Beautiful meeting in Austin.
The non-profit corporation, which was created in 1967, was designed "to make Texas the cleanest, most beautiful state in the nation" by focusing on litter prevention, beautification and waste reduction.
