Boy returned to family after being kidnapped
A 3-year-old boy kidnapped from his Tennessee home in July 2007 and taken into Mexico has been reunited with his family.
Little Dylan Ibarra was reunited with his mother Friday after he was brought back from Nuevo Morelos, Mexico to Brownsville.
The American Association for Lost Child Inc. had worked with Mexican authorities to successfully recover Ibarra. He had been found at the home of his paternal grandparents in Nuevo Moreles, the AAFLC said.
Both Mexican and U.S. authorities were able to negotiate with the grandparents and the toddler's father for his release.
Authorities said he was kidnapped by Irving Ibarra, his non-custodial father from Dickinson, Tenn., on July 22, 2007.
Irving Ibarra has a outstanding FBI warrant charging him with International Kidnapping-Interference with Child Custody Kidnapping in the United States.
The family had posted the missing toddler's information on Web sites such as YouTube and MySpace in hopes that someone would come forward with information about the child.
