Flea market planned
One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
This is why Little Monster Production is hosting its first flea market in art walk form Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. outside of Galeria 409, located on East 13th Street.
Vintage clothes, accessories, books, comics, toys and many other things will be available to shoppers.
Leslie Barrientos, who started Little Monster Production in 2009, said she and other crew members thought of a garage sale when they needed to make some extra money.
Their garage sale turned into a flea market, and nearly to 20 people have signed up to sell their stuff, Barrientos said.

Uvalles said his grandmother read cards for 40 years and she taught him how to do it.
”I shuffle the cards and they pick up your energy and I interpret them,” he said.
Sandra Espinoza, a UTB-TSC student, has a small business called Code energi in which she sells scents, oils and accessories she finds from cities in San Antonio and Austin.
Espinoza has been selling and creating her own oils for five years.
“A lot of people use the oils to relax and many other people just use them because of the scent, to have around the house,” she said.
Espinoza who is looking forward to the sale said what the production is doing is great for the community.
“This is opening up people’s minds down here, giving this outlet to all of these amazing individuals who can showcase their stuff,” she said.
Little Monster Production organizes events for local musicians and artists to showcase their work. So far, the crew has produced 12 events for the community.
The flea market will have a variety of good, hand-picked items at pretty cheap prices,” Rene Cardona Jr., who is part of the company, said.
