World Marriage Day honors couples celebrating wedding anniversary
Comments 0 | Recommend 0BROWNSVILLE — The Catholic Diocese of Brownsville will honor couples today who are celebrating their 25th, 30th, 40th, 50th, and 60th wedding anniversaries. The celebration is sponsored by the Family Life Office of the Catholic Diocese of Brownsville.
Bishop Raymundo J. Peña will celebrate a special Mass of thanksgiving at 3 p.m. at the Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle National Shrine in San Juan, honoring the couples.
Lydia Pesina, the diocese’s Family Life Director, said in a prepared statement that World Marriage Day is devoted to celebrating marriage of all ages, especially the landmark anniversaries of couples who have been married 25 and 50 years or more.
