Judge rules that commissioners are not entitled to insurance benefits
State District Judge Janice L. Leal ruled today in favor of a local taxpayer group.
Leal ruled that the Brownsville city commissioners are not entitled to receive insurance benefits from the city.
She ruled that they could only be reimbursed for their actual mileage and cell phone use while on city business, according to Moses Sorola.
