Los Fresnos chamber gets new president

Carmen Amaya, Wells Fargo store manager, is the new president of the Los Fresnos Chamber of Commerce. She has served on the chamber board for 10 years and been with Wells Fargo for 20 years, starting her career with the bank’s predecessor First Valley Bank. Chamber executive director Debra Badeaux said Amaya is well known in the business community and will bring fresh ideas. "The chamber is next door to us and they are always coming by, asking me what I think about things," Amaya said. "They told me they value my input and when the vacancy came up, the chamber leaders asked me if I would serve."
