Casting for "The Girl," a new film taking place on the South Texas-Mexico border, will be casting four roles in Brownsville.
"The Girl," starring Emily Blunt, will be shot in Brownsville and Nuevo Laredo in the spring. Blunt, who has starred in "The Devil Wears Prada" and "Charlie Wilson's War," will play a young mother from South Texas who attempts to smuggle immigrants across the U.S.-Mexico border.
The film's director, David Riker, directed "La Ciudad," a series of stories about four Hispanic immigrants in New York City. The filmmakers have also produced "Maria Full of Grace" and "Half-Nelson."
Casting Director Vicky Boone will be selecting actors for three male Latino characters, ages 20 to 55, and one female Latina actress, from 25 to 25 years old.
