Clay Walker to perform at BorderFest 2012
BorderFest 2012 has added Clay Walker to its four-day lineup. The country star will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, March 2, at the State Farm Arena.
Walker, born and bred in Texas, began his career by touring the state for five years, before he was discovered in the early '90s and signed with a record label.
Since his first album, which was released in 1993, Walker has released 11 albums and he's produced six No. 1 singles, including "Live Until I Die" and "Rumor Has It."
Also performing is Josh Thompson, a country artist who made his debut three years ago and climbed the charts to the Top 20 of Billboard's Country chart with the songs "Beer on the Table" and "Way Out Here."
BorderFest is an annual event which draws more than 80,000 visitors to Hidalgo. The four-day extravaganza features a carnival, various attractions, educational and cultural displays and demonstrations, food and entertainment.
This year, BorderFest will kick off Thursday, March 1, and run through Sunday, March 4, with Demi Lovato serving as the headliner of the event.
