De la Garza-Valles

Patricia de la Garza and Juan David Valles were married Aug. 14 in an afternoon ceremony at St. Lukes Catholic Church. Father Esteban Hernandez officiated the traditional Catholic double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Diana Zarate de la Garza of Brownsville.

The groom is the son of Jose and Elva Valles of Brownsville.

The bride was given away in marriage by her grandfather, Norberto A. Zarate.

Norma C. Trevino served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sandra Chavarria, Angela Hernandez, Zayra Villarreal, and Samantha Salazar. Alejandra Rodriguez, Andrea Rodriguez, Sabrina Salazar, Hailey Valles and Brianna Zarate served as flower girls.

Joe Valles served as best man. Groomsmen were Eloy Valles and Noe Valles.

A reception immediately followed at Brownsville Events Center.

The couple honeymooned with a trip to the United States Virgin Islands and will reside in Rancho Viejo.
