Comments 0 | Recommend 0RITA GONZALES, 96, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, in Olmito. Funeral arrangements are pending under the direction of Henry Thomae Funeral Home.
EMILIA TREVINO HERNANDEZ
Emilia Trevino Hernandez, 88, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Casimiro Cantu Hernandez; brothers, Roberto Garza and Pedro Garza; and sister, Lupita Melendez.
She enjoyed singing, watering her garden, gardening, loved eating the Rutledge hamburgers and watching her novelas. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Olga ( Eddie) Hinojosa, Elba (Juan) Olvera, Oscar (Sylvia) Hernandez, Delia (Ray) Perez, Elvia H. Landin, Samuel Hernandez, Richard T. Hernandez, and Hilda (Cesario) Alaniz; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; nieces, Eva, Margarita, and Santa Melendez of Monterrey, N.L.; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. today, Friday, April 24, 2009, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Pallbearers will be Oscar Hernandez Jr., Kevin Landin, Richard T. Hernandez, Kevin Ramirez, Cesario Alaniz and Phillip Landin.

RAQUEL MARTINEZ
Raquel Martinez, 68, entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at Valley Baptist Medical Center- Brownsville.
Mrs. Martinez was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan A. Solis and Estela R. Vega; a brother, Leovigildo Solis; a sister, Delfina L. Solis and a son, Javier Martinez.
Left to cherish her is her loving family: her husband of 48 years of marriage, Jose Luis Martinez; children, Eldia Martinez (Ramiro Nevarez), Orfelinda M. (Jose C.) Hernandez, Jose L. Jr. (Maria) Martinez, and Juanita M. (Ramon Jr.) Rodriguez; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Juan Jr. (Mage) Solis, Nora Vega, Esmeralda (Raul) Dominguez, Antonio (Gloria) Vega and Ramiro Vega; and a sister-in-law, Erminia Solis.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. today, Friday, April 24, 2009, at Guerra Funeral Home "Chapel of the Arch Angels."
A chapel funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Guerra "Chapel of the Arch Angles." Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Jose Luis Martinez Jr., Ramon Rodriguez Jr., Jose C. Hernandez, Jose C. Hernandez Jr., Ramiro Nevarez Jr. and Aaron Nevarez.

CAMILA R. GARCIA
Camila R. Garcia, 73, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at Valley Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Garcia enjoyed playing bingo every time she could. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cirilo R. Gracia, and a son, Jose Cirilo Garcia.
She is survived by children, Nora Carrizales, Connie, Angie, Ana Guzman, Santana, and Balbie; daughters-in-law, Estela and Griselda; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. today, Friday, April 24, 2009, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
A chapel service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
