Ramirez-Martinez

Julia Ramirez and Juan Manuel Martinez II were married on Nov. 12 in an afternoon ceremony at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Deacon Bruno Cedillo officiated the Catholic ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Carlos and Leticia Ramirez of Brownsville.

The groom is the son of Juan M. and Maria Elena Martinez of McAllen.

Given away in marriage by her father, Carlos Ramirez, the bride wore a sleeveless princess style designer gown by PC Marys Inc.

Claudia Ramirez-Solis served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Flor Porras and Herminia Noriega. Jennifer and Vanessa Silva served as flower girls.

Andy Silva served as best man and Thomas Cabriales served as ring bearer.

A reception immediately followed at Rancho Viejo Resort and Country Club Casa Grande.

The bride received a masters degree in counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor intern. She is currently a program counselor for Valley Comprehensive Pain Management Center.

The groom received a bachelors degree in business administration and is currently employed at American Electric Power Company in San Benito.

The couple honeymooned in Puerto Vallarta and will reside in Brownsville.
