Juan Roberto Quintanilla is arraigned on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a minor Monday afternoon in Alamo municipal court.

Police: 13-year old girl raped by milkman

ALAMO - A milkman allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl inside his pickup truck at a park on the city's south side early Sunday morning.

An Alamo police officer discovered Juan Quintanilla and the girl at the Alamo Sports Complex just after midnight Saturday inside the man's 2008 Ford F-150 Super Cab.

The officer approached the vehicle because it was parked at the complex after its 10 p.m. closing time, according to the probable cause affidavit against Quintanilla.

Quintanilla, 31, stepped outside the vehicle and told police he was only talking to the girl inside the truck, police said. The Alamo man had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and unsteady balance while the officer interviewed him.

Police found two condoms and a condom wrapper inside the vehicle, the affidavit reads. The girl was wearing no shoes and appeared "very nervous," officers said.

Officers took Quintanilla and the girl to the Alamo Police Department for further questioning.

Police contacted the girl's parents and told them she may have been sexually assaulted, the affidavit reads.

It is the policy of The Brownsville Herald to not identify alleged victims of sex crimes.

The teen's parents took her to an area hospital where doctors found that she had recently been raped.

The girl's father returned to the Police Department on Sunday and told investigators his daughter told him Quintanilla forced her to have sex with him.

Quintanilla and the girl told police they knew each other previously, said Alamo police Sgt. Lupita Valdez. There were no signs the teen had been sexually assaulted prior to Saturday night's alleged rape.

Quintanilla, a permanent resident from Mexico, works as a delivery driver for Hygeia Milk Products Co., Valdez said. He was charged Monday afternoon in Alamo Municipal Court with one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child, a first-degree felony.

Judge Roberto Puente set his bond at $100,000.

If convicted, Quintanilla could face up to 99 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
