Man, 22, dies in stabbing

A 22-year-old man who apparently was stabbed in the abdomen after an altercation at 2 a.m. Sunday at the Upside Down bar died a short time later at Valley Regional Medical Center, Brownsville police reported.
Police are searching for a suspect who reportedly left the area in a black sport utility vehicle. Police responded to a call of a stabbing at the Upside Down bar in the 500 block of Springmart Street. The victim was taken to VRMC, where he later died.
Detectives continue to investigate the incident. Police said the victim’s name would be released on Monday, along with further updates.
