Reynosa police officers indicted in kidnappings
Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office announced the indictments of four Reynosa municipal police officers and two other people on the charge of kidnapping in connection to an immigrant stash-house raid in April.
The group of six men was apprehended on April 19 and April 25 by Mexico’s Federal Police, who conducted a raid at a house in Reynosa. There, they rescued 68 migrants from Mexico and other countries.
Henry Richard Rodriguez Garcia and Jose Ernesto Barela Herrera, who were at the stash house, were arrested as well as Reynosa police officers Flavia Elena Cabrera de la Cruz, Heriberto Hernandez Oliva, Baudel Acosta Bonilla and Jose Nieves Aguinaga Morales.
