Anne Juhas Perrin, 92, died Nov. 10, 2007, after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Heyward Perrin in 1964 and her granddaughter Tiffany Ann Perrin Senn in 2007.

Anne was born in Milwaukee, Wis., on July 24, 1915, to Joseph and Mari Juhas. She moved with her parents to Brownsville in 1930. She attended El Jardin School from 1930 to 1932. She graduated high school from Holy Angels Academy in Milwaukee, Wis., in 1933.

After graduating from high school, she returned to the Valley and lived on the San Rafael Ranch from 1934 to 1936 and on the Stark’s Farm from 1936 to 1938. She was a licensed cosmetologist from 1937 to 1941 and worked at Leon’s Beauty Shop, which was across the street from Den Russ Pharmacy on Elizabeth Street.

Anne was extremely proud of her three grandchildren, Tiffany, Sarita and Jimbo. She had three beautiful great-granddaughters, Anja (16), Sasha (4) and Kaia (1). The grandchildren affectionately called their grandmother “Annush,” which is the Hungarian pronunciation of Anne.
