RENY HARDY

 Reny Hardy, passed away on Nov. 4, 2008. He was born in St. Paul, Minn, to Bud and Marcella Hardy.

He served his country during the Korean War from 1950-1954, and in 1955 he met his soul mate Verla and married her. They had five children then attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis. After graduating, in 1959 he started Hardy Industries. The company was moved to Brownsville, Texas, in 1970 and continued manufacturing until 1982 when he established The Tool Crib, a sales organization for the sale of machinery and industrial cutting tools.

Mr. Hardy was well respected for his expertise in the industrial communities of Brownsville and Matamoros. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Marcella Hardy and son, Ronald J. Hardy.

He is survived by his wife Verla Hardy; children, Michael and Martin Hardy, Cynthia Hardy and Mary Dolan; his brother, Kent Hardy of Chicago: 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. till 12 noon with a chapel service to begin at 12 noon on Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Committal will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Full Military Honors will be conducted by post 2035 under the direction VFW district 18 Commander Luis Lucio.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, cemeteries, mausoleums, and crematory, 125 McDavitt Blvd., Brownsville, TX 78521, (956) 541-5400. Dignity Memorial Provider.

 CATALINA MONTIEL

 Catalina Montiel, 83, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at Eboney Lake Nursing Home in Brownsville, Texas.

Mrs. Montiel was preceded in death by her parents, husband Albino Montiel and numerous brothers and sisters.

Mom was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great -grandmother, sister and aunt. We will all miss you very much and know you are resting in heaven with your loved ones.

She is survived by her daughter Hermelinda (Alberto) Gomez, sons: Baldomero (Consuelo) Montiel, Benito (Selma) Montiel, sisters Juanita Castro and Fortunata Castro and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2008 with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Committal will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
