Brownsville Museum of Fine Art will consider process to replace Horn
The executive board of the Brownsville Museum of Fine Art is expected to release a statement next week announcing how they will select a permanent replacement for the late Barry T. Horn.
Board trustees have appointed Linda Marin as interim director of the museum pending the selection of a new executive director, said Eddie Knebel, president of the BMFA board of trustees.
Horn was chosen unanimously to hold the museum’s executive director position last year after the museum did a nationwide search. He became executive director Jan.1 and served until his death last month.
Horn, the victim of a homicide, was found dead Oct. 24. A suspect in the death is in custody.
