Comments 0 | Recommend 0Cynthia Lopez and Jose Alejandro Menchaca were married on Oct. 9 in an afternoon ceremony at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Deacon Paul McArdle officiated the traditional Catholic ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Luis Lopez Sr. and Blanca Martinez of Brownsville.
The groom is the son of Leopoldo Mechaca and Maria del Refugio Menchaca of Brownsville.
Given away in marriage by her parents, Luis Lopez Sr. and Blanca Martinez, the bride wore a white satin gown with a regal two-piece majestic scalloped portrait neckline, beaded sequined re-embroidered lace appliques and a detachable royal train. A sparkling crown of rhinestones and pearls and a bouquet of four dozen white roses completed the ensemble.
Oralia Vasquez served as matron of honor and Alexandra Resendez served as flower girl.
David Menchaca served as best man and Eddie Lopez served as ring bearer.
A reception immediately followed at Salon Colonial del Gran Hotel Residencial in Matamoros, Tamps.
The bride received an associate in applied science in medical laboratory technology and is currently employed at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville in the Laboratory Department.
The groom is employed at Brownsville Public Utilities Board in the Electrical Underground Department.
The couple honeymooned with a trip to Las Vegas and will reside in Brownsville.
