Boy dies in Houston apartment shooting
HOUSTON (AP) — Houston police are investigating what led to a shooting at a Houston apartment complex that killed an 11-year-old boy sleeping in a bedroom and injured two others.
Police are determining if the 2 a.m. Wednesday shooting might be connected to a burglary of a vehicle a few hours earlier at the complex.
Police said a suspect fired a shotgun several times into an apartment, hitting the boy. His 9-year-old brother and another woman were injured. Police said six to eight people were inside the apartment.
Police did not release the conditions of the wounded boy and woman but said they are expected to survive.
Investigators are interviewing a possible suspect, a man found in a car with a shotgun near the apartment complex.
