Halloween events begin in Brownsville
Dia de Muertos
When: 5 p.m., today, Friday

The cheery works of art made by children ages 3-14 will feature skeletons with different personalities and interests, such as an athlete or a dancing calavera (skull). Museum admission is free from 5-7 p.m. on Community Night, scheduled every last Thursday of the month.
Halloween Murder, Mayhem and Scandal Cemetery Walking Tour
When: 6:30-7:30 p.m., today, Friday
Where: Old City Cemetery Center, 600 E. Jackson St., Brownsville
Admission: $5 for BHA members and $10 for non-members

The tour will highlight the tales, scandals, mysteries and misfortunes that have befallen some of those buried at the Brownsville Historic City Cemetery.
Spooktacular Halloween Bash
When: 5:30-8:30 p.m., Saturday
Where: Brownsville Police Department Southmost Community Network, 2950 Southmost Blvd. and at the Westside Community Network Center, 1763 Hwy. 281
