Los Fresnos church celebrates 45th anniversary with October Fest ‘09

When: 4 p.m.-midnight, today and 3-11 p.m. on Sunday
Where: Los Fresnos rodeo grounds
Cost: $3 per person, children under 13 are free
St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church of Los Fresnos is celebrating its 45th anniversary with October Fest ‘09.
The celebration is from 4 p.m.-midnight today and from 3-11 p.m. on Sunday.
There will be a cook-off contest, a queen contest, a kids show and a raffle.
The Los Fresnos High School mariachis and folklorico dancers will be performing.
Music groups Grupo Azido and Jaime y Los Chamacos will be performing on Sunday night. Other artists performing are Grupo Karizma, Grupo Conteño, and Grupo Impossible.
