Carmen Arangua Flores
Carmen Arangua Flores passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, at Valley Grande Manor in Brownsville.
She was born on April 11, 1924, in Brownsville, where she was also a lifetime resident. She graduated from Brownsville High School in 1942. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor A. Flores on July 14, 1984; her parents, Antonio and Juanita Arangua Sr.; a son, Carlos A. Flores; a daughter, Juanita F. Juarez; a brother, Antonio Arangua Jr.; and sisters, Enriqueta A. Rojas, Lydia A. Ladnier, Maria A. Kretzchmar, and Juanita A. Saenz.
She is survived by her sons, Victor A. Flores Jr. (Elvia), Eduardo Flores (Gloria), and Jaime Flores (Margarita); nieces, Enriqueta Manzano, Margarita Garcia, Irene Robinson, and Delia Garcia; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at Saint Luke Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers will be Victor Jon Flores, Victor Alfredo Flores, Vicente Flores, Richard Flores, Jaime Flores Jr., and Dr. Michael Flores.
Honorary pallbearers will be Marco A. Flores, Charles R. Flores, Antonio Juarez Jr., Victor A. Flores Jr., Eduardo Flores, Jaime Flores Sr., Dr. Jose J. Manzano, Jose G. Garcia, Margarita V. Flores, and Veronica Lambaria.
