EDINBURG -- A Donna High School substitute teacher was arrested Thursday for allegedly having sex with one of his students.

Hidalgo County sheriff's investigators accuse Michael Jason Llanos, 25, of sleeping with a 17-year-old girl on Nov. 1 at a home west of the city.

He is expected to be formally charged with having an improper relationship with a student - a second degree felony - at a hearing this afternoon.

If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
