Eliza O. Diaz
Eliza O. Diaz, 84, entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Wednsday, Nov. 7, 2007, at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville.
Mrs. Diaz is preceded in death by her husband, Alfonso Diaz Sr. and her parents, Manuel Ortega and Anastacia Garcia Ortega; and a sister, Maira O. Diaz.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving family: her children, Felipa D. (Alfredo) Cortez, Ofelia D. (Domingo) Reyes, Guadalupe D. (Felipe) Cantu, Juanita D. (Ruben+) Quintero, Alicia D. (Israel) Martinez, Alfonso Diaz Jr. and Alma D. (Ricardo+) Jaramillo. Also surviving Mrs. Diaz are 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
Visitations will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at Guerra Funeral Home "Chapel of the Archangels."
