Comments 0 | Recommend 0DALLAS (AP) - A crane lowering a heavy length of pipe has toppled at a city water pumping station on the Trinity River in Dallas, injuring two workers.
Dallas Fire Rescue spokeswoman Sherrie Lopez tells KRLD-AM that a city contract crew was lowering a new pump, consisting of the pipe, to the roof of the pumping station about 10 a.m. Thursday when it pulled the crane arm to the ground.
Both workers were taken to area hospitals. Lopez says a worker in the truck crushed by the pipe had a head injury, while a worker on the roof suffered two broken legs.
