DALLAS (AP) - A high-speed chase through the Dallas ended Monday with the car being pursued by authorities running a red light and colliding with a pickup truck.

Law enforcement officers could be seen approaching the car after the crash Monday, but the driver didn't immediately emerge from the sedan after the pickup smashed into the driver-side door. There was no immediate word on injuries.

Television reports say the chase lasted about 90 minutes after starting in the Dallas suburb of Mesquite. A Dallas County constable dispatcher said the chase began as a routine traffic stop.

The crash happened on a street that divides Richardson and Garland, two more Dallas suburbs.
